Call Your State Legislators to Urge Passage of a Permanent Medicaid Managed
Care Carve-Out for School-Based Health Centers!
Legislation is introduced in both houses of the State Legislature to enact a permanent Medicaid Managed Care Carve-Out for School-Based Health Centers (SBHC). SBHCs are scheduled to be carved-in to the Medicaid Managed Care Program in January, 2021. The permanent carve-out legislation is critically important for the financial survival of SBHCs.
During the week of July 20-24, please call your State Senate and Assembly representatives in their district offices. Ask them to co-sponsor this bill and urge that it be passed before the Legislature adjourns the 2020 Legislative Session.
