Donations to the Department of Education’s official charity are down more than 50 percent on Mayor de Blasio’s watch — and recently generated the smallest grant to city schools in more than a decade, The Post has learned. The steady drop in annual contributions to the Fund for Public Schools — from $31.4 million to $15.4 million — followed a record $47.7 million collected during the last year it was solely controlled by the administration of Mayor Mike Bloomberg.
